Dr. Jacqueline Cowan earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University, one of the top-ranked PT schools in the United States. Her interests include orthopedics, women’s health, Yoga, and Pilates-based rehabilitation. She is passionate about providing wellness education, and encourages her patients to become happier, healthier, and stronger by promoting a healthy lifestyle. In the clinic, she integrates rehabilitation and prevention using a proactive treatment approach to minimize pain while setting the stage for a speedy recovery, restoring and enhancing function, and providing patient education to prevent recurrence of injury. One of Jacqueline’s main goals for herself is to keep abreast of the latest research and treatment techniques by continually reading primary literature and taking courses to enhance her skills.
Jacqueline is currently working towards her certification in women’s health, which encompasses pelvic health, conditions specific to the female athlete, breast health, pregnancy and postpartum health, bone health, chronic pain disorders, and temporomandibular pain disorders. The challenging certification process requires education above and beyond the advanced physical therapy curriculum.
In her free time, Jacqueline enjoys jogging, Pilates, Yoga, and walking on the beach with her husband, two daughters, and two rescue dogs.
